My name is Josh Howell. I was born April 20, 1994. I grew up in Paulding County Georgia. I graduated from a decent sized high school named South Paulding. I was a member of a very large graduating class that year (about 450 graduates). I was on the drumline at my high school for my whole career there. Drumming is a big part of my life, especially now that I am on the Marching Southerners Drumline. We practice about 15 hours a week, so between my band schedule and my class schedule I am a very busy person, but I try to have a little bit of a social life. Another thing to know about me is that I laugh a lot, but how I look at it, it is better to live a happy life and laugh than to live a sad life and look back on your life and regret not enjoying your time.
For fun I like to sleep, drum, play sports, hang out with friends, and just overall have a good time. Being on the drumline I have already made alot of friends that most people have not had the opputunity to do yet. I feel like since coming to college i have not only developed more as a person but I have also became more open to trying new things and talkin to people that I usually wouldn't have talked to in high school. There are people everyday who walk past you and never say a word to you, but who knows maybe that person could be the person that changes your life, and you would've never known that if you didn't just stop and say hey. Hopefully this is me in just a couple of days in Fayetteville for the football game against the Razorbacks!!!

I watched some of that video you posted and I have watched some of the band practices and I am very impressed with how good the marching southerners are.
I agree with living a happy life. I love to make others laugh . Just to see other people smile and see their eyes light up with joy is something I love doing , even if it is at my own expense . I personally graduated from a class of seventy five students I believe. My school was small a 2A and sometimes a 3A school. I also played the french horn in band for a year, not what I expected. Never grasped the idea on why I had to cup my hand inside the bell. Laugh out loud.
Hey Josh! It was nice to get to know you a little bit the other day in English class. At least me and you both have one friend which is each other! But the whole thing about laughing all the time, yeah thats me too. Oh and its also great that were both getting to experience the marching southerners because your right it is an unforgettable experience. But it was good to meet you and look forward to a great semester!
