Getting to know Tyri !

My name is Tyri Spencer. I have been at Jacksonville State University for a semester so unfortunately I'm still considered a freshman here at JSU. I am 18 years old, my birthday is September 29. So that makes me a Libra! I was born an raised in Toledo, Ohio. Then I moved to Paulding County, Georgia where I attended middle school, and high school. So i guess yyou can kinda say i was raised in Georgia too. I do enjoy sports. All through high school i participated in every sport i could. Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball. I ran a couple meets for track but that was only because the coach asked me to so i was never offically on the track team. I even tried cross country my freshman year of high school. But that didnt last long because in middle school i had an really bad accident where i busted my knee open, an got 26 stitches. I'm a fun, outgoing, chill person. hopefully I can get to know everyone and have a great semester !

Welcome to the Life of Ashlyn Odom

Hey fellow classmates,
My name is Ashlyn Odom. I'm a freshman here at Jacksonville and I'm loving every minute of it! So, I guess I can start off by giving you a little bit of background information about me. My birthday is July 24th, 1994, which makes me 18 years old.  I was born and raised in Oak Grove, Alabama. Most of you probably are saying to yourself, "I don't know where that is!", don't worry because most people don't! It's about an hour away from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I attended Oak Grove High School where I was part of many organizations, such as, Math Club, National Honor Society, Ambassadors, FFA (Future Farmers of America), Band, Color Guard, and Winter Guard. Also, during my senior year of high school I was the senior class historian.
But now since I've moved on to college I am beginning to become more involved like I was during high school. I like to stay busy for some reason it keeps me focused on my school work and keeps me from getting into trouble. I am a part of the Marching Southerners as a JSU Marching Ballerina. Yes, it is a lot of hard work having to practice every week during the summer and moving here to Jacksonville three weeks before all the other freshman just to be able to practice. But I love it and my experiences that I've had already are wonderful and I wouldn't change them for anything in this world. This weekend the Marching Southerners are traveling to Arkansas for the football game against the Razorbacks. I cannot wait it is defiantly going to be one of those unforgettable experiences.
I honestly cannot believe that I am apart of such an amazing group of talented girls like this one.  However,  I am also happy to say that I am one of these talented young ladies! I cannot wait to get to know everyone of you better during this semester. So that was a little chunk of my busy, wonderful and fun life!
